Harbour Hideout.
Booked in 8 days.

One building in downtown Sheridan. Two products. One operator with AI. From the first line of code to the first paying guest took eight days.

Wyo Stays no longer manages Harbour Hideout. In October 2026 the owner chose to self-manage. This is the record of what I built, how fast, and what it cost the owner: nothing beyond the management fee. The company version is on wyostays.com.

  • Published, instant-quote event pricing, in a market where private rooms almost never publish a rate.
  • Archived and handed off in one day when the owner chose to self-manage.

02The building

Two businesses in one footprint.

A lower-level space at 331 Broadway Street. Exposed brick. A full cedar bar. A wood stove on a river-rock hearth. Smart TVs and a sound system.

Downstairs, a 3-bedroom vacation rental with 3 king beds that sleeps 8. In the same room, a private event space for up to 30 guests. One address. Two things to sell.

03The deal

The owner paid nothing for the build.

Everything on this page came inside the standard Wyo Stays management fee. An industry-low rate. I over-deliver on purpose.

  • No setup fee. No build fee. No marketing retainer.
  • Venue and event pages, an instant quote tool and an inquiry pipeline. Built and hosted at no charge.
  • Distribution to 12 lodging channels from one listing record.
  • Event-marketplace listings and a Google Business Profile, set up and managed.
  • A full market study of every comparable room in Sheridan.

04The tech

One codebase. No agency.

Built and run by one operator with AI. Small enough to understand. Sturdy enough to sell from.

  • Lodging

One listing record in Guesty, pushed to 12 channels: Airbnb, Vrbo, two direct booking engines, and eight specialty and mid-term channels. Change it once. It changes everywhere.

  • Venue pages

Prerendered static pages on wyostays.com, built in React and served from Vercel. Fast, crawlable, cheap to run.

  • Instant quote tool

A tested pricing engine. Daytime, weeknight and weekend rates. Length discounts, holiday premiums, cleaning and deposit tiers. Renters see a real number before they send a message.

  • Inquiry pipeline

Two serverless functions behind a spam guard. One takes inquiries. One checks availability. Every inquiry lands in the inbox with what I need to quote it.

  • Search and AI visibility

EventVenue structured data, direct-answer content blocks, a sitemap, an llms.txt entry and instant indexing pings. Built for Google and for answer engines.

  • Monitoring

The pages sat inside a scheduled production health check that alerts on breakage.

  • Photography

18 real photos of the actual room. No stock. No AI.

05Marketing and reach

Own the page. Rent the channels.

Owned
A venue page, an events page with the quote tool, and a place in the wyostays.com venues index next to the other Wyo Stays event properties.
Lodging channels
12, managed from one place.
Event marketplace
Listed in two categories. One of only three private rooms in Sheridan on that marketplace.
Local search
A Google Business Profile built to the venue rules: primary category, no service area, appointment-only hours.
Research as an asset
The market study found that no private event room in Sheridan published a price, and no venue in town ran organized fight-night watch parties. Both were open positions.

06What carries forward

Two things I'd do the same, every time.

  1. Build so you can leave in a day.

Everything lived in code, a shared drive and one listing record. When the owner chose a different path, the archive and takedown took hours, not weeks.

  2. The research outlives the project.

The market study, the pricing model and the quote tool carry straight into the other Wyo Stays venues.

Build it fast. Build it so you can walk away clean. The building stays. The work moves on.

Run rentals of your own?

I build pricing, booking and listing systems like this one for other operators. Start with a free teardown or go straight to an install.
